Letter beads vs mixed kits
Mixed bags are random letters. Alphabead sells single-letter alphabet beads: a hundred of one letter (fifty in black), so you can restock E without buying another mixed pile.
A mixed kit
One bag, every letter, in whatever count the mix gave you. Fine if you are starting from nothing and want a little of A through Z.
You will run out of vowels first. Buying another mixed kit means more of the letters you already have.
A single-letter bag
One bag, one letter. White or colorful: 100. Black: 50. $3.99 a bag. Restock the E you actually used.
Same three colors as the rest of the shop: white, black, or colorful.
When each makes sense
A mixed kit is honest if you have no letter beads yet and you want a starter pile. You will still hit empty E, A, and I before you touch Q.
Single-letter bags are for the restock. You sat down to spell a name. The kit had everything except the letters you needed. Buy those letters. Leave the extras on the shelf.
